EatTiamo goes to... BlogHer 2019!
8th May, Brooklyn, NY at Berg’n. We had the pleasure of attending the BlogHer Food event where more than four hundred food content creators, influencers and entrepreneurs have gathered to inspire and be inspired. A day dedicated to food-focused panel discussions, interviews, workshops, activations and more related to the digital food world.
A day dedicated to Food Innovation
Founded in 2005, BlogHer started as a movement to inspire women “to find their voices and turn their passions into content, community and commerce”. The BlogHer community includes some of the most talented individuals on the Web, ranging in topics from parenting and social issues to fashion and beauty and, of course, FOOD. The event was dedicated to Food & Digital and all trending topics around this universe. It's always inspiring to see women supporting women, that's why we couldn't but support such an important mission!
What we loved about this experience was first of all the team of professionals behind BlogHer and SHE Media who perfectly organized this huge event. The atmosphere they created was so cool, positive and full of inspiring people. It has been so thrilling to see so many influencers, content creators and journalists with a real passion for food. The location perfectly matched with this atmosphere: BERG'N is a wonderful beer hall and event space in the heart of Brooklyn, beautifully decorated for the occasion. Everything contributed to make the day full of positive vibes: after being there we can say that Julia Child was definitely right, "People who love to eat are always the best people"!
We were present with a stand in the courtyard where we had the opportunity to introduce our Italian Food Boxes to the hundreds of attendees. It has been so gratifying to see so many people sincerely interested in Italian products: our job involves calling and writing to so many people but the opportunity to meet food lovers “beyond the screen” are really a few. Talk with them in first person, telling them the stories behind our producers, let them have a taste of our products and receive enthusiastic reactions has been a real reward!
A Taste of Italy in the heart of Brooklyn
Along with our presentation, at our stand it was possible to have a taste of the Balsamic Vinegar GPI from Modena by the Antica Acetaia La Secchia. This top-quality product contains at least the 50% of grape must and is made following a strict regulation concerning both the area of production and the ingredients.
It is produced indeed in a small area around Modena. Sugar and other chemical additives are not allowed: like all the other product that you can find in our Boxes, this Balsamic Vinegar is made according to the oldest tradition and using only the best raw materials. You can find it here.
The Balsamic Vinegar has been really appreciated and to let attendees taste it was a good opportunity to let them see with their own eyes how we work: over the past three years we have built a network of more 100 trusted Artisanal producers, strictly connected to the territory and committed to the use of premium raw materials.
An opportunity to get in touch
with the latest Market Trends
BlogHer has also been an occasion to get in touch with the latest US market trends. During the event, we had the opportunity to see how it is important to offer products that suit a variety of different needs: gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, organic…
Since our foundation, we have been engaged in providing our customers only with the best Italian products, coming from organic or highly controlled farming. We also have boxes that satisfy the customers’ demand for healthy food suitable for allergic people and after BlogHer we are already working on some ideas to widen our proposals for people with special dietary needs, so that more and more people can fall in love with Authentic Italian Food!
A sincere THANK YOU to Deb: a friend, a mentor and a big professional who made this event possible. Another huge thank you to Phoebe Lapine, one of the speakers, and Emma Lovewell for the time they spent with us and their support and to Liz VivieImpara. It has been a pleasure to meet you!
BlogHer - Frequently Asked Questions
Girls, you really had tons of questions for us! Here's a recap of the most frequent!

Yes, all our Boxes are vegetarian! If you have any doubt concerning one specific Box, write us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be happy to help!
